Waimanalo, Hawaii. Waimanalo Hawaiian Homes Association (WHHA) and the Association of Hawaiian Civic Club of Waimanalo (AoHCC-Waimanalo) have been working towards building a working relationship without "overstepping" or "burdening" yet respecting the uniqueness and autonomy of each organization. "We share the same founder, Prince Jonah Kuhio and recognizes his efforts and vision in organizing the Civic Clubs to actively pursue community, political and cultural participation" say Paul Richards, WHHA President. The informal reference of the "Waimanalo Civic Club" now holds its monthly board and membership meetings at WHHA Ka Ho'oilina na Kuhio Community Center - Board Room. "We extend an invitation to all homesteaders, community members and those concerned with Native Hawaiian issues and culture to join us at our meetings!" proclaims Ku'ulei McLaughlin, President of the Waimanalo chapter. The general membership meetings are held on the third Monday of each month.
