Honolulu, Hawaii The State Senate Committee on Tourism and Hawaiian Affairs has sent out a notice of informational briefing scheduled for this Thursday, May 23, 2013 beginning at 2:45 p.m. for the purpose of addressing concerns with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) and its recent Audit. Representing DHHL will be Chairwoman Jobie Masagatani and Deputy Director, Darrell Young and Acting State Auditor, Jan K. Yamane. Although no public testimony is allowed, the meeting is important to better understand the issues related to the audit findings and the recommendations being made to ensure no future issues regarding compliance will re-occur. We encourage everyone who is able to visit and spend a lot or short while there to help support the DHHL Management team in this "welcomed" and "over delayed" audit.
