Waimanalo, Hawaii

The recent passing of Paul H. Akau, son of Aunty Lucy and Robert Akau was met with sadness and a great sense of loss.

On a recent visit to Castle Medical Center Aunty Moana Akana sang "E Nei Look at Us!" in the hallways leading to his room as medical staff looked on in surprise as she entered into his room with his wife Zeeoma attending at his bedside.  Paul or better known by his email address name, "Papabu" was an avid member of the Waimanalo Hawaiian Homes Association along with his wife and son, Kalani as his nephew Kamakana Aquino currently serves as the President.

Paul was also the kahu for the Kupuna Church and assisted with the Hawaiian Civic Club of Waimanalo and worked with Partners in Development (PID) activities and service projects.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
